On Saturday June 20, 2015, Rick Silva, the supervisor of the Los Angeles Department Of Water and Power, Water Conservation Response Unit educated approximately forty residents of the Lake Hollywood Estates and Hollywood Knolls at our host, Ms. Sheila Irani’s home, about the importance of water conservation in California, water saving tips as well as rebates that are available to Los Angeles residents that will put money in your pocket as additional incentive to reduce your water use both inside and outside your home.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power conservation programs have helped keep the Los Angeles demand at the same levels as the 1970’s, despite a population increase of over one million new customers! We need to continue to do our part, as residents and businesses, to insure the future wellbeing of Los Angeles, and generally, the State Of California.
The following are some of the rules, rebates and suggestions taught by Mr. Silva this past Saturday.
